Nanomade Capaforce© - Force and Capacitive Sensors
Nanomade CapaForce© sensor is a unique device combining in a single, thin, flexible layer, both capacitive and force-sensing technologies.
- Nanomade Sensor (x4): Proximity sensor that detects nearby objects by their effect on the electrical field combine with Nanomade force sensor which works as a very highly sensitive strain gage, i.e. sensor nominal resistance will change the function of its deformations.
- Integrated sensor: CapaForce© sensor already integrated under a wood trim panel for evaluation
- Electronic board
- Micro-USB cable
- USB key with integrated Nanomade software
The sensor has just to be glued under the material, following the instructions described in the user manual, to turn itself into a force-sensitive touch interface.
Placed under any material (wood, plastic, leather: see User’s Manual for detailed implementation guidelines), Nanomade’s CapaForce© sensor turns the latter into a force-sensitive touch interface. With Nanomade’s CapaForce© sensors, rejecting unintentional touch inputs and implementing point-and-click use cases has never been easier.
As an example, the non-intentional touch detection in the case of a simple capacitive sensor can be removed. By combining touch and force-sensing technology, you can detect, for example, the presence of a finger on the surface, and adjust the necessary applied force to activate your function.
