CAPAFORCE© DEVELOPMENT KIT

The Nanomade CapaForce© sensor is a unique sensor that combines a capacitive touch device and a force sensing device in a single thin, flexible layer. Each device can be activated (or deactivated) by software in real time, either individually or simultaneously. By combining the 2 devices, CapaForce© allows, for example, the rejection of unintended touch inputs and allows the force required to activate an application to be adjusted. Using only the Force device, CapaForce© becomes a deformation sensor to detect, for example, shocks on an aircraft structure or on an electronic device.

Placed under any material (wood, plastic, leather,...) and implementable on any 3D shape, CapaForce© turns any object into a force-sensitive interface for tactile or deformation applications. The sensors supplied in the KIT can be used as is for evaluation purposes or bonded to an application material to become tactile or deformation sensitive.

  • 4  CapaForce© : flexible, thin, highly sensitive sensors to be used as is for evaluation purposes or to be glued under an object to be functionalized. 
  • 1 integrated demonstration sensor : CapaForce© sensor already integrated under a wooden trim panel for evaluation.
  • 1 electronic acquisition card to process the signal from the sensor and measure the detection and force information to the remote PC application.
  • 1 micro-USB cable to connect the electronic acquisition card and the PC
  • 1 USB containing the Nanomade Studio visualisation software (Windows version), the user manual and the sensor product sheet.

CAPAFORCE© MATRIX DEVELOPMENT KIT

The Nanomade CapaForce© Matrix sensor is a sensor array offering the same MultiPoint functionality as a computer TrackPad. Implemented in its KIT version as a 3*2 sensor array, it combines in a single thin and flexible layer a capacitive matrix touch device and a matrix force sensing device. Each device can be activated (or deactivated) by software in real time, either individually or simultaneously.
By combining the 2 devices, CapaForce© Matrix allows, for example, the rejection of unintentional touch inputs, the recognition of gestures (e.g. left to right swipe) and allows the detection of multi-point support forces.
By using only the Force device, CapaForce© Matrix becomes a deformation sensor to detect, for example, shocks on an aircraft structure or on an electronic device.

Placed under any material (wood, plastic, leather,...) and implementable on any 3D shape, CapaForce© Matrix turns any object into a force-sensitive interface for tactile or deformation applications.

Set of 20 simple sensors compatible with CapaForce© and CapaForce© Matrix development kits. The Light Hole (LH) sensors have a central opening allowing the passage of light (useful for buttons or pictograms).
The LH sensor is a patented technology that provides the same level of sensitivity around the aperture regardless of where it is placed.)

Accessories Capaforce© DL (Double Layer) Sensors (20pcs)

Set of 20 double-sided sensors compatible with CapaForce© and CapaForce© Matrix development kits. The sensors are made on a double-sided FPC substrate (copper + PI) with a total thickness of 250μm (50 μm thicker than the single-sided CapaForce© sensors). This configuration is recommended to increase the accuracy of capacitive sensing under thin films, and also to simplify the routing of the electronics.
