Our aim was to facilitate access to media on long-haul flights, by doing away with the cabin crew's remote control and call buttons.

Realization

Our armrest is touch-sensitive, and can interact with the in-flight media screen. It can also perform other interactions such as calling cabin crew. Thanks to its touch and swipe functions, our armrest can :
  • - Interacting with the media ;
  • - Interacting with lighting set-up;
  • - Call a flight attendant for assistance.
This simplifies operation for the passenger, who is freed from the need for wired remote controls and other high-mounted mechanical buttons, and benefits from an intuitive interface within easy reach.

The Nanomade solution

Our Capaforce sensor is based on an exclusive ink that transforms the substrate on which it is printed into a multi-touch, multi-force sensitive surface. Thanks to its multi-material compatibility, inherent flexibility and applicability to both small and large surfaces, tactile and force interfaces can be brought anywhere on your product.
