Description

Individual sensors serve as ideal tools to explore fundamental touch and force capabilities, offering a compact design that makes them most effective for testing and implementing basic button and force measurement functionalities.

Matrix sensors, here implemented in their 4*2 version, serve as ideal tools to explore swiping functionalities in addition to the fundamental touch and force capabilities, their design makes them effective for testing and implementing basic button and force measurement functionalities as well as swiping and pattern recognition.

Glued under any material (wood, plastic, leather, etc.) and implementable on any 3D shape, Force&Touch transforms any object into a touch and force sensitive interface for tactile or deformation applications.

The sensors combine on the same thin and flexible film both a force sensing device and a capacitive touch device. By combining the two, Force&Touch can, for example, reject unintentional tactile input. It can also be used to adjust the force required to activate an application.

What the kit contains:

The sensors within this pack can be used on their own for evaluation purposes or to be glued under a surface to be functionalised.

The Force&TouchSingle Nanomade Dev Kit contains :

  • 4 Force&Touch Single sensors : their compact design makes them most effective for testing and implementing basic button and force measurement functionalities.
  • 2 Force&Touch Matrix sensors : implemented in its 4*2 sensor version, it makes additional functionalities such as swipes and patterns possible.
  • 1 integrated Force&Touch Single sensor: single sensor already integrated under a wooden trim panel for evaluation.
  • 1 integrated Force&Touch Matrix sensor: matrix sensor already integrated under a wooden trim panel for evaluation.
  • 1 electronic acquisition board : Processes the sensor signal and measures the detection and force information to the remote PC application.
  • 1 micro-USB cable: Connects the electronic acquisition board to the PC.

1 USB key: Contains Nanomade Studio visualisation software (Windows version), user manual, and sensor data sheet.
