Project 

Our aim was to simplify the passenger experience on long-haul flights by providing an intuitive and ergonomic interface for easy access to in-flight media and services, while eliminating traditional remote controls and cabin crew call buttons.

Implementation

Our innovative solution is an intelligent armrest designed to interact effortlessly with the in-flight media screen. Featuring touch and force technology, it allows passengers to intuitively navigate through entertainment by touching or swiping on the armrest surface. In addition to controlling their media, they can also easily adjust the lighting and call cabin crew. By replacing cumbersome remote controls and buttons that are often difficult to access and quick to deteriorate, our solution makes the travel experience more fluid and user-friendly for passengers.

The Nanomade solution

Our intelligent armrest is equipped with the Touch & Force sensor, a cutting-edge technology based on an exclusive ink. This sensor transforms the surface of the armrest into an interactive tactile interface, capable of detecting gestures and pressure for natural, precise interaction. The flexibility and versatility of our Touch&Force sensor means it can be integrated into a variety of materials, providing an advanced tactile experience that can be adapted to different seating and equipment configurations.
